We sell Medicinal Cannabis Vaporizers. Helenskinz specializes in Medical Vaporizers for Medicinal Cannabis patients in New Zealand. We currently stock & sell all of the Certified Medical Vaporizers available to Kiwis. There are more coming but they take up to 2 years and $2M+ to get a vape approved for medical use so we can expect a new one every 1-2 years. We have over 20 years of experience with vaporizers and vaping in general. There's plenty to learn and a lot more to learn. Vaporizers are fascinating devices and are ideal for Medicinal Cannabis. Smoking cannabis would do more harm than good in our opinion so we are very fortunate to have Medical Vaporizers to administer our Medicinal Cannabis flower. You do not need a script to purchase a Medical Vaporizer but you certainly do need one for your Medicinal Cannabis. You will need to book a Doctors visit which you can do online by video call or a regular phone call at one of the dispensaries which are easy to find online. Or you may be able to get your GP to write you a script. Our Medical Vapes are legal to buy, own and use but they must be used with your Medicinal Cannabis obtained with your script to remain legal.

We sell Certified Medical Vaporizers (Medical Devices) only, we do not sell any other vaporizers or electronic cigarettes. Currently there are only 4 approved Medical Vaporizers in New Zealand. Please note, these Certified Medical Vaporizers are not classed as "Vaporizers", they are classed as "Medical Devices". This is why it is ok to use these medical devices in public, in your hospital bed etc. It is not a vaporizer if you have your medical cannabis script/herb in the device. You do have a leg to stand on (hopefully) if you follow the rules and need to use your medical device in public, it's completely legal to do so.

Certified Medical Vaporizers currently available: (July 2025).

It is not legal to use a non-approved vaporizer (non-medical) in public even if you have your legal scripted Medicinal Cannabis in the device. You must use it in private and then it is legal. Only the certified medical vaporizers above are legal to use in public with your scripted medicine/herb. The certified devices are also much easier to travel with, especially overseas. You can download the Medical Device Licenses under the "Information" link in our website menu.

We also sell parts for our medical vaporizers and a number of handy aftermarket accessories that we have acquired from various locations around the globe. We have some very unique accessories for the Mighty+ Medic in particular including a "Glass Adapter" imported from Planet Of The Vapes (POTV) in the US. The Glass Adapter allows you to cool your vapor down considerably by using 12mm Glass Cooling Stems of various types, shapes and sizes. Glass is a great way to cool vapor but vaping through glass & water with a Bubbler is even cooler.

Many people find vaping hard on the throat, vaporizers can be hot and dry and a bit like inhaling the air from a hair dryer. This is because the Medical Vaporizers are all Hybrid Vapes meaning they have a Hot Oven (conduction) and Hot Air (convection), they preform both types of heating at once. The hot air is the reason why you get a dry throat with these vapes, especially if you have the heat turned up over 200 Deg C. It isn't Hot Vapor that makes your throat dry, it's the hot air from the vape. Once you have a Glass Adapter you will be able to use many different Glass Stems, Mini Bubblers, Large Bubblers, Water Pipe Adapters to connect to Water Pieces and more.

We stock just about everything you could want for the M+M on our Storz & Bickel pages from Shock-Proof Mighty+ Medic Cases to Cleaning Equipment. There's something for everyone in our assortment of vaporizer accessories. We even have high quality Storz & Bickel & PAX Baseball Caps if that's your thing.

We also sell a full range of Herb Grinders which play a big part in the preparation of your Medicinal Cannabis. We highly recommend you buy yourself a decent metal herb grinder. We have various different sizes of 2 piece and 4 piece grinders, plus we also import a nice range of Ceramic Coated Non-Stick Herb Grinders in 4 Piece. Our SLX and Cali Crusher ranges are top of the line and make grinding herb much easier, especially if you have weak or sore hands. You do not get any build up or jamming and no cleaning is required. Non-Stick grinders are not cheap but they are well worth the investment if you can stretch to one.

We also sell a range of Infusion Devices for infusing Oil and Butter. Our Ardent machines do it all, they are All-In-One machines because they not only Infuse, they also do an incredible job of Decarbing your herb first. The Ardent Nova and the Ardent FLEX are both Decarboxylators and Infusion machines. We have tried many different brands over the last 18 years and we always come back to Ardent. They make the best machines in our opinion. Magical Butter Machines do a good job of infusing your oil but they do not have a Decarb function so they are pretty useless on their own. You have to buy an extra device to go in your oven to decarb your herb first which is essential as it activates your herb before infusion. If you don't decarb your herb first you will be wasting your time and herb. Our Ardent Nova is the smaller machine and does a great job of decarbing your herb in around an hour. Once decarbed it becomes bioavailable meaning if you eat it it would have an effect, like vaping but it takes more like an hour or so to work. Some patients prefer to infuse oil and butter etc so they can take their medication in the form of a teaspoon of butter for example rather than vaping if it isn't something they are keen on. It's always good to have options. We also have a range of Infusion Accessories available from Silicone Oven Gloves to Filter Bag Kits.

Decarboxylator Infusion Machines:

Helenskinz has been operating from West Auckland, NZ since 2008, we are online only and use NZ Post for all shipping NZ wide. It usually takes 1 working day to the Nth Island and 2 working days to the Sth Island or Rural. We always have stock on hand and stock all the parts to go with each device we sell.

We are always happy to answer your questions and we realize there's a steep learning curve when it comes to vaping medical cannabis for the first time. The same goes for using Infusion Machines. Drop us a quick email if you need help and we will respond asap. We won't ask anyone for proof of a Medicinal Cannabis Script, that is your responsibility, we cannot control what people put in their devices once they are sold.

Warranties for the Medical Devices we sell are all valid in New Zealand and because the suppliers (Sponsors) for these Medical Vapes are located inside NZ we can resolve issues quickly should you be unlucky enough to have an issue with your device within your warranty period. This is good news, no more being told to contact the manufacturer yourself overseas, we don't do that! Often we can get a Mighty+ Medic for example replaced in a couple of days depending on available stock. We understand that your Medical Vaporizer is something you can't afford to be without so we do treat it as urgent when we are processing a claim for our customers. You can Register your Device with the manufacturer using your Warranty Card but you are welcome to contact Helenskinz if you have a problem within your warranty period. We will do everything we can to get you sorted asap!

We always say, "Vaping is a One Way Street", once you take that Street, you will never want to smoke ever again. That is a great way to explain the difference between vaping and smoking for anyone who is smoking their Medicinal Cannabis because they don't own a vaporizer. Not only are vaporizers more convenient to use, especially the portable ones, they are a no brainer when it comes to health, smoking is repulsive and a terrible idea, you will never look back after trying your first vape, it is like night and day, it could not be more different. Vaping tastes and smells so much better and obviously doesn't involve any smoke so the health benefits are huge if you are jumping from smoking to vaping.

As mentioned above, if you are using your script for Medicinal Cannabis in your Certified Device you are completely legal, you can use it in public if you wish. It must be a true Medic Model and not a variant like a Mighty+, a Volcano Hybrid (by Storz & Bickel not Vapormed) or a G Pen Elite II (by Grenco Science, not Grenco Medical), these are not approved certified Medical Vapes. If you vape your Medicinal Cannabis regularly and take your vape with you when you leave the house you would benefit from having a proper certified Medical Device over a regular dry herb vape so you can use it anywhere at any time without breaking any laws.
